FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23
We will begin the hour by finishing up the fishbowls. We will then begin a new unit. So you have nothing due! Enjoy the break. Practice pages 15-16 will be due Friday if you want to get ahead. Moodle gradebook has been updated through last week.

FOR MONDAY, MARCH 21
Fishbowl day!!! Here is a rubric for the fishbowls so you have an idea of how you will be graded. Bring your peeps and their (short) paper for you to fishbowl with. If you are doing the written version, be prepared to do that Monday as well. Also do Katelyn's homework and do an eval sheet for her as well. There will not be a test.

FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16
We will be practicing fish bowls. Bring copies of papers.

FOR FRIDAY, MARCH 11
Please complete Practice Pages 11-12. That's all!

FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9
Please do Eric's homework and evaluate him. Also bring to class more papers to work on and respond to. You will have a mini-test, so you may want to review a bit.

FOR WEDNESDAY, FEB. 23
Well my sickness has thrown things off a bit, but we will be moving Eric's presentation to the Monday when we return. That means we still have Wednesday for some grammar review. So whatever you had prepared for Monday will still be relevant. And if you weren't prepared, now you have time to do so!

FOR MONDAY, FEB. 21
We will be taking a short detour from the original plans for the day and will be focusing on grammar questions you might have so far this semester. So go over your Mini Tests and Practice Pages, find places that you do not understand, and bring to class your questions. Lots of them. Wednesday Eric will be presenting on Misplaced Modifiers, and Friday will be your midterm exam.

FOR FRIDAY, FEB. 18
Please do Practice Pages 9/10. Also comment directly on your peer's second paper both in margins and as an end note. Keep in mind the do's and don'ts when responding.
(Eric: Please note you are up for the lesson WEDNESDAY of next week, not Friday).

FOR WEDNESDAY, FEB. 16
Please take the notes you made about your peer's paper and revise them to accommodate for the "positive sandwich" and framing comments in the positive and as questions. Bring your revision to class. Jeremy, you have parallelism on Friday!

FOR MONDAY, FEB. 14
Please do your subject/verb agreement homework as well as an eval of Margo and Daniel. Also bring your rough drafts of past/current papers of your own work to class to share with peers.

FOR FRIDAY, FEB. 11
Practice pages 7-8 are due. That's all.

FOR WEDNESDAY, FEB. 9
Your assignment/paper is due, along with your written sample of the assignment and a reflection/metacommentary. Also do Amy's homework and an evaluation of her class.

FOR MONDAY, FEB. 7
Obviously we had no class Wednesday, so Wednesday becomes Monday but Monday is still Monday. In other words, Amy will present Monday--and you need your assignments tweaked/done and written (as below).

FOR WEDNESDAY, FEB. 2
Practice pages 5 and 6 are due. Keep in mind as well that next Monday you need all three assignments tweaked or your original all written out, and you need to have written one of these assignments (as though you were the student doing the assignment). Please read the handout for further details.

FOR MONDAY, JAN. 31
Do your colon/semi-colon homework. Complete a student eval form for Shelby and Kim. If you are going to create your own writing assignment for Unit 2, have an idea in mind. If you are going to be tweaking other assignments, please find three and bring them to class.

FOR FRIDAY, JAN. 28
Do practice pages 3 & 4. That's all!

FOR WEDNESDAY, JAN. 26
Paper for Unit One Due. Please read the handout for specifics.
Also read both Campbourne articles. They are very short and easy to read--a nice break from the previous theory! This you should enjoy.

FOR MONDAY, JAN. 24
Please read Fulkerson's "Composition at the Turn of the Twenty-First Century". Be prepared to discuss and ask questions in class.
Please get a copy of the "student eval form" from the "handouts" page and complete the form for Caitlyn and Julie, commas, Lesson 2
Please do the homework on commas the Julie and Caitlyn gave you.
Do "Practice Pages 1-2" from the "Handouts" page of the wiki. All practice pages require to ONLY find errors and fix them. There are approximately 10 errors--give or take a few--per practice page. Please make your corrections clear and dark so I can easily determine your marks and your intentions.

FOR FRIDAY, JAN. 21
Please read Berlin's "Contemporary Composition" and write up a very informal response (1-2 pages) to the article. Ask questions, make connections, respond, etc. No summary necessary.

NO CLASS MONDAY--MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY
FOR WEDNESDAY, JAN. 19
Please read Hairston's "Winds of Change" (on the handouts page). Please annotate (take notes as you read) and be ready to discuss. I will call on EVERYONE, so be prepared.
Also do your "subject/predicate" homework to turn in as well.
If you missed class, the handout for subject/ predicate is on the "Handouts" page on this wiki. The homework assignment is pinned to the board outside my door with your name on it. Stop by and pick it up.
Julie and Kim: you will want to begin preparing your lesson for next Friday and have something to show me by Wednesday.

FOR FRIDAY, JAN. 14
Please finish your pre-test and bring back to class with you. If you look up anything for help I certainly won't know, but you'll get a better understanding of your own abilities if you don't.Here is the schedule of grammar lessons and when you will be teaching.
